Can you tell they just told us we could have our cake? She sure can't say a whole lot, but boy does she understand "CAKE"! :)Phil and I were invited so my friends' wedding (Sara) this Saturday up in Vermillion, SD. Since a two and half hour drive, 6 hours of wedding, and two and half hours of driving home would be a bit much with a 15 month old, we decided to stay the weekend near town in what looked like a really nice hotel (its only saving grace was the gloriously huge tub that I could stretch my whole body out it in). Our 4 year anniversary had been this past wednesday just before the wedding weekend, so my parents met us at the hotel to change for the wedding, we packed up overnight stuff for Cayleigh, and they took her home after the reception, while Phil and I went back to our hotel to celebrate our Anniversary. :) The wedding was very sweetly done, Sara was beautiful, Chuck (the dad) was torn between tears and laughter, and we enjoyed the freedom of being just guests there to celebrate!
The next day Phillip and I took our time road-tripping back. We had breakfast at Perkins, stopped at the Lewis and Clark State Park halfway through to look at the Keel Boat, had lunch once in town, and then went to pick up our freshly napped daughter from the depths of despair that she was in from being tortured with her grandparents (note high pitched squeals of laughter in the background when entering said grandparental home). :)D All in All, a very busy and very fun weekend! Extra bonus, we found the campsite (L&C Park) that we want to take Cayleigh to next summer! It has a swimming beach portion to the lake. Ooohhh yeeeaaahhh. :)
Making Friends...Cayleigh just loved Callie, the flower girl, and Callie loved Cayleigh right back. They were two peas in a pod the whole reception!

Cayleigh looking beautiful in her Sari from our dear friend Satya and Swapna. They went to visit their son and parents in India and brought back this gorgeous set for Cayleigh! She, of course, had to wear to the first special occasion we had :)
Anniversary Flowers...Four roses for the years married, and one for year to come. :) The goof-ball came free with purchase, and as he was cute I kept him!
